Played on a smaller, enclosed pitch, each team consists of four outfield players and a sighted goalkeeper. The ball contains internal bells, enabling players to locate it by sound. Classification System
Blind football is categorized based on the level of visual impairment:
B1 (Blind): Athletes with very low visual acuity and no light perception in both eyes. Outfield players wear eye masks to ensure a level playing field.
B2/B3 (Partially Sighted): Athletes with varying degrees of visual impairment but not completely blind. These categories are more common in other competitions but not used in the Paralympic Games.
At the Paralympic level, B1 classified athletes compete, ensuring uniformity and fairness.
Gameplay and Rules
Blind football is played on a pitch typically measuring 40 meters long and 20 meters wide, with rebound walls keeping the ball in play. The game is divided into two 20-minute halves with a 10-minute halftime break. Referees oversee the match, assisted by additional staff who provide verbal cues to guide players.

Ball with Bells: The ball contains bells, allowing players to locate it by sound.
