Qualification Criteria and Event Programme Announced for New Delhi 2025

World Para Athletics has released the qualification criteria and event schedule for the New Delhi 2025 World Para Athletics Championships.

Set to take place from 27 September to 5 October 2025 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, this will be the largest single Para sport event ever hosted in India.

The event programme will include all competitions from the Paris 2023 and Kobe 2024 World Championships while introducing 15 additional medal events, bringing the total to 186 events (101 men's, 84 women's, and one mixed).

Qualification Criteria

Athletes must achieve the minimum entry standards (MES) at a World Para Athletics-recognised competition for their respective events between 1 January 2024 and 3 August 2025.

All competitors must be internationally classified in an eligible sport class with a confirmed status or a review status with a fixed review date of 2026 or later.

The qualification period for MES performances ends on 3 August 2025.
